Birch Gold Plate Leaf

This Birch Gold Plate real leaf pendant is stunning, worn by itself or layered with other leaves in our collection. These pendants measure approximately, large size 55mm x 70mm, medium size 35mm x 50mm and standard size 25mm x 35mm.

Our stunning leaves are skeletonised to leave their veins intact.  The leaf is then preserved through electroforming, a process where the leaf is slowly encased in copper to strengthen it.  The leaf is finished in a heavy layer of 24-carat gold.  Their size, shape and patination will vary, enhancing their individual nature and creating a truly unique piece of jewellery. 

Associated with the sun, the birch tree is a solar emblem and is believed to ignite passion, energy and growth.  The birch is known for igniting even in damp conditions and therefore the analogy was drawn that the birch asks us to live life with fire in our hearts.  According to Celtic tradition, the birch leaf is believed to symbolise new beginnings, to embrace the spiritual energy of the Birch is to accept change. The birch is believed to ward off negative energy, banish fears and assist in building courage.

All of our pendants are supplied with a complimentary chain of your choice.  Our chains are made with a base metal of stainless steel and then plated in either 24 carat gold or rose gold.  Each chain has two lengths, meaning you have twice the choice on how to wear your piece with that favourite outfit!  Our chains are available in 18 inch (46cm), 24 inch (61cm), 33.5 (85cm).
