These fern real leaf earrings are stunning and can be worn with our matching folia pendant collection. Each standard size earring measures approximately 20mm x 45mm - 20mm x 55mm.
Our stunning leaves are skeletonised to leave their veins intact. The leaf is then preserved through electroforming, a process where the leaf is slowly encased in copper to strengthen it. The leaf is finished in a heavy layer of 24-carat gold. Their size, shape and patination will vary, enhancing their individual nature and creating a truly unique piece of jewellery.
The fern is seen as a symbol of luck, riches and protection. During the Victorian era, they were associated with fascination, confidence, magic and a secret bond of love, so were often given as a romantic gift. The fern was considered by Native American tribes to be an important plant, representing water. There are many species of fern and all were used to treat anything from digestion problems to arthritis and childbirth pains.

In order to offer a premium courier service DPD will ship all UK orders and Royal Mail will ship to European and international destinations.
UK SHIPPING:
DPD UK Standard next day: £6.50
Please click to download YourDPD App in order to set your own personal delivery preferences. DPD provide a 1 hour time slot for estimated arrival by SMS and email. You’ll be able to select other ‘in flight’ options for your convenience.
A signature is required for all UK domestic deliveries, with the exception of the ‘leave safe’ option available with our DPD in flight delivery services. If you're unavailable and haven’t requested a leave safe option, a card will be left with rearrangement details or delivered to a neighbour.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING:
We use Royal Mail Track & Sign For Service. Please note, that international orders being shipped outside of the UK will be subject to an approximate 25% customs/import duties and tax charges once they reach their destination country. This cost is not covered by Ikigai Apparel and so you will be responsible for paying any additional charges that may occur.
