Holly Silver Plate Leaf Pendant

This Holly Silver Plate real leaf pendant is stunning, worn by itself or layered with other leaves in our collection. This pendant measures approximately 35mm x 65mm.

Our stunning leaves are skeletonised to leave their veins intact.  The leaf is then preserved through electroforming, a process where the leaf is slowly encased in copper to strengthen it.  The leaf is finished in a heavy layer of sterling silver.  Their size, shape and patination will vary, enhancing their individual nature and creating a truly unique piece of jewellery. 

The holly tree is sacred in Celtic mythology and seen as the evergreen twin of the mighty Oak tree.  Whilst the Oaktree symbolises the light half of the year, holly provides protection during the darker, winter months.  Holly symbolises peace and goodwill, it was believed that hanging holly in the home would bring good luck and protection.  Holly was traditionally planted near dwellings because of its resistance to lightning. 

All of our pendants are supplied with a complimentary chain of your choice.  Our chains are made with a base metal of brass and plated in either 24 carat gold, rose gold or sterling silver.  Each chain has two lengths, meaning you have twice the choice on how to wear your piece with that favourite outfit!  Our chains are available in 18 inch (46cm), 24 inch (61cm), 33.5 (85cm).
